Most Efficient Mid-Size Cars
Below are the top 10 most efficient mid-size cars in order of increasing city
fuel consumption.
Five hybrid cars take out the top 5 spots with gasoline cars making up the remainder. Toyota's Prius comfortably beats all others though, including the nearest hybrid, which is the Ford Fusion.
Its a surprise not to see any clean diesel
engines in this size category, which are generally more efficient than gasoline engines. This is something that will definitely change in the future if diesels begin to get more popular.

TOYOTA PRIUS
The most efficient mid-size car is Toyota's award winning Prius.
The Prius first debuted in Japan in 1997. At the time it was the only mass-produced hybrid vehicle in the world. Now
in its third generation, its surrounded by hybrid competitors but still tops the ranks.
The Prius has a large 80hp electric motor, powerful
enough to drive the Prius all by itself at low speeds. Besides having the best fuel efficiency of any car the Prius comfortably seats 5 adults with its 2,653L of passenger space, and has a wealth of safety and convenience features.
